That’s why we’ve put together some of our favourite women’s equestrian show clothing, and equipment specifically for dressage and show jumping. Take a look below and see why you need these equestrian clothes and accessories before your next big show…

Show Jackets

In dressage, what you’re wearing plays a huge role in how you perform and, ultimately, your score. A fitted riding jacket will help the judges better see your back and saddle - a baggy jacket might give the impression you’re slouching or not sitting properly, which will more than likely lose you marks.

At some levels, tailcoats or shadbelly coats can be worn, but these are usually for advanced dressage shows - always double check the rules of dress.

Show jumping

Comfort is of utmost importance when show jumping. You need a jacket that’s fitted and looks the part, but also provides flexibility and freedom to properly control your horse at all times. If you’re not able to move properly, then you may not be able to maneuver your horse exactly a you need to, which could be disastrous for your score. Here are some of our favorites.

Show Shirts

Your show shirt should have a high collar to look the part, but choosing the right shirt is as much about comfort as anything else - you want a shirt that’s going be flexible and keep you cool in warm conditions as well.
