There is so much to love about British period dramas. The actors, the scenery, the storylines, and the costumes! With most of the population stuck at home watching TV over the last year, British period dramas like Bridgerton, The Crown, Downton Abbey, Peaky Blinders, and others quickly became favorites. These hit TV shows often highlight the characters with their horses in different settings, and we love to see them riding and wearing the equestrian styles depicted in the stories.

The Crown, which closely follows Queen Elizabeth II's ascension and family history, also depicts other aspects of her and her family's lives. We love to see a modern take on a classic. Take some inspiration from the amazing costumes in Bridgerton and make a statement with bold, fun colors. There is no need to recreate the complete early 1800s look, as a couple of accessories can go a long way. Add a jacket and gloves and nod to the fashion of an earlier time with an updated twist.
