Acavallo Light Weight Gel Pad

I have an ‘oddly’ shaped horse (more rounded belly with a high head carriage) and have had a very hard time finding tack that fits him without ‘slipping’. After 6 months of trying different saddles, pads, cinches, etc, I found a saddle that fit (as good as possible) and an adjustable pad to allow for his shape, adding tack (a breast collar) to help hold things into position, I found that both the saddle and pad would slip! This pad was recommended to me and I’m glad I made the purchase! It IS expensive (and I was prepared for that - I also own an Acavallo Gel Seat Pad and pleased with THAT purchase as well) but it is well worth the money. This pad is small, light weight and extremely well ventilated. I’ve used this in the middle of July and my horse is no hotter WITH it than he would be withOUT it. It rinses off easily and air dries in a matter of minutes so I don’t worry about ‘funk’ building up on the pad. Nothing slips … NOTHING! I was VERY pleasantly surprised at how small the ‘foot print’ of this pad actually is. It works … does what it says it will do and that is the bottom line.
